Rockland’s First Friday Art Walk for November 2016 will take place from 5-8pm on 4 November. Many Arts In Rockland members will be open, including: Maine Coastal Islands Gallery, The Gray Fox Gallery, Harbor Square Gallery, Michael Good Gallery, Caldbeck Gallery, Art Space Gallery, 407 Studios, Craft Gallery, The Art Loft, Asymmetrick Arts, Black Hole, Landing Gallery, CMCA and Jonathan Frost Gallery.
Maine Coastal Islands Gallery will be showing photographs by Lisa Mossel Vietze and paintings by Gwen Sylvester; alongside an exhibit by Midcoast S.T.E.A.M. Microschool to promote awareness of plastic pollution.
Jonathan Frost Gallery’s “Views of the Natural World” continues. Steve Lindsay will play jazz piano.
CMCA will be showing the 2016 CMCA Biennial Opening featuring the work of 25 Artists.
CRAFT Gallery continues to show its final exhibition of 2016, featuring six CRAFT artists whose work has been included in the 2016 and 2014 Biennials at CMCA.
Art Space Gallery will be featuring all member artists, exhibiting small and large works.
Caldbeck Gallery will host an opening reception (from 4:30-6:30pm) for the shows, Ink wash drawings by Chris Osgood and metal sculpture by Tom Osgood. Also a group show of 20 gallery artists – 3 of whom are in the CMCA Biennial. Regular gallery hours are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 12-4.
Landing Gallery will open “Estate Sale” with collections of art, antiques and vintage collectibles from three Mid Coast Estates. Items include paintings by Siri Beckman, Bruce Busko, Janet Ledoux, Colin Page, Andrea Peters, Maude Olsen, Eugene Quinn, Bjorn Runquist and Jane Ryan; and a large collection of new and antique Art Books, Victorian oak furniture, and home accessory items.
407 Studios’ Salt Air Art Gallery is a working studio and gallery showing a collection of art, jewelry, home decor and gifts, all made by Maine artists and artisans.
