At a reception at The Centre St Arts Gallery, LLC, student artists, family and friends gathered on Saturday to celebrate the student artists and winners of merit awards.
Jurors Evelyn Dunphy, John Gable, David Morgan and Penny Lane selected artworks which represented outstanding achievement. Winners include Ethan Landry, Harpswell Coastal Academy; Jack Lent, North Yarmouth Academy; Kaeden Green, Molly McCough, Rochelle Maderal, Rachel Johnson and Galen Gaze, Brunswick High School; Chloe Hill-Morse and Nina Keyes, Morse High School; and Spencer Shattuck, Hyde School.
Students from RSU1, Brunswick, and Topsham schools, submitted work in many media, all of which was accepted into the exhibition. Andrea Galuza and The Mix were show sponsors.
Sharon Bouchard, one of the founding members of the Gallery, directed the first annual Winter Student Show, and acknowledges support from teachers and parents. This is the inaugural year for the Winter Student Art Show, which will be held again in 2018. The Winter Student Art Show can be viewed through March 11, 2017.
