On Sunday, March 12, 2-4pm March’s Second Sunday workshop, “Drawing with Torn-Paper Shapes”, is lead by artist Robin Brooks. Celebrate spring; come create and experiment with paper collage. All ages and experience levels are welcome. No registration necessary.

“Drawing with Torn-Paper Shapes” comes right out of the Silberstein-Storfer Jones book titled “Doing Art Together: Discovering the Joys of Appreciating and Creating Art as Taught at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s famous parent-child workshop.” Robin states, “I love the idea of parents and children having the chance to work in the same room. Ideally there will be a parent table and a children’s table so there can be both proximity and independence.”

Mark your calendars and look forward to a variety of activities on the second Sunday of every month from 2-4PM at the Harlow Gallery. These events are free and open to the public. Some materials are provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own as well. These workshops are opportunities to both try something new and sharpen old skills – they are open to everyone; form beginners to professional artists and everyone in between. SECOND SUNDAYS brings artists and art lovers together to enjoy the process of making art as well as looking at art and discussing it. Most events are perfect for families, and all ages are welcome. Children under 10 MUST be accompanied by an adult. For more information call
