Many of the artworks in the show are oil paintings created in late summer or fall. Other mediums include a monoprint by Susan Amons, a digital montage by Jeffery Becton, silver gelatin prints by Lisa Tyson Ennis, and one-of-a kind tri-color gum prints by Alan Vlach. Vlach gum prints are made from photographs he took of wheatpaste graffiti in Portland, Maine, and New York City. Gum printing is a nineteenth century process using a mixture of gum Arabic, photosensitive dichromate, and watercolor pigment that is brushed on paper, dried, and exposed to ultraviolet light under an enlarged negative.
