Cornerstone Gallery is a new gallery opening in Southwest Harbor at 322 Main Street with a grand opening date set for July 18th from 4 pm-7pm.
Cornerstone Gallery features a variety of fine art by Maine artists, many of which reside on MDI, including Judy Taylor, Erika Rosso and Beth Lambert. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be available at the opening and there will be live music by Blake Rosso and Jim Coffman.
Cornerstone Gallery is located in the former Salty Dog Gallery and is the creative endeavor of Christine and David Wade. They purchased the building in the spring of 2018. Using their extensive background in construction and design, they fully remodeled the gallery to give it a clean contemporary look with a generous amount of natural light and an open floor plan. Christine and David Wade wanted to honor the history of the space, keeping it as an art gallery and also setting a granite corner stone with the date the building was originally created, 1925. For more information please contact the gallery at [email protected] or 207-244-5918.
