It will be open from Veterans Day, Monday, November 11 to Monday, November 18, 2019.  Closing reception on the South Steps, Saturday, November 16, 10:30 am -12 noon This exhibit is in conjunction with the Austin Veterans Art Festival www.avafest.org a month-long arts event that features creative veterans nationwide.

“As a therapist I get to encounter the invisible consequences of war each day.  As an artist, this series intends to make visible the experiences of today’s Wounded Warrior who was physically or mentally wounded in Iraq or Afghanistan from 2001 to the present.  In another act of courage, each service member has selected a gesture and posed as a sculpture. This project embraces Veterans of all services, ranks, gender, and heritages.” *Note: Each service member has participated voluntarily, signed an individual release, and has never been a patient in my service line*
