The Center for Maine Contemporary Art (CMCA) invites artists of all ages to take inspiration from the current exhibition, Temporality: The Process of Time to create their own original works of art during this month’s ArtLab for All Ages workshop on Saturday, January 4, from 2 to 4pm.
In this second in a series of ArtLab workshops related to the Temporality exhibition, participants will look to previous works of featured artist Astrid Bowlby and work collaboratively on a collage installation. Using paper, ink and scissors to create numerous cut-outs and illustrations to make an installation in our ArtLab – documented by a time-lapse video. Experiment with improvisation, accumulation, and collaboration!
ArtLab for All Ages takes place on the first Saturday of every month at CMCA, 21 Winter Street, Rockland. ArtLab is offered free of charge and open to all through the support of Wells Fargo, The Bob Crewe Foundation, The Cricket Foundation, First National Bank, Fisher Charitable Foundation, Margaret E. Burnham Trust, Milton & Sally Avery Arts Foundation, Morton-Kelly Charitable Trust, Nellie Leaman Taft Foundation, Stephen & Tabitha King Foundation, and individual donors.
