Annex Arts is seeking submissions for its “Castine in the Time of Quarantine” project, a community-based journal to be published by Annex Arts.
Submit stories, observations, notes, poetry, photos and art created and informed by your experience of the COVID-19 pandemic and quarantine. Castine in the Time of Quarantine will record and reflect the diverse ways one small town in Maine persevered through an unprecedented moment in world history.
How have you been keeping track of this time? Have you been journaling, writing stories, taking pictures, making art? No matter what form you’ve been using to track your thoughts and feelings, Annex would love to work wit you. This project is open through Aug. 21 to anybody who is residing, working, or doing business in Castine during the pandemic.
Annex will partner with Castine Historical Society to assist with their goal of building an archive of local history during this world-wide pandemic. With your permission, your submission will be donated to the Castine Historical Society for their Castine Pandemic Archive. Where necessary, at our request names, dates, and specifics can be redacted.
All participants will receive a copy of the end result of this collection.
