Artists are invited to submit work to the Maine Open Juried Art Show (MOJAS), which will be held in Waterville from March 19 through April 22.
Deadline for submissions is Feb. 21, and artists may submit up to two entries via the digital portal on the Maine Area Art Society website, www.watervilleareaartsociety.com/mojas.
The show traditionally attracts entrants from across the state and represents a wide variety of art mediums. WAAS will offer cash prizes across five types of categories. The jurors for 2022 are Karen Adrienne, artist/owner and director of Artdogs Studios and Circling the Square Fine Art Press located in Gardiner; Rob Smith, nature photographer and certified master photographer from the Professional Photographers of America; and Maggie Libby, an artist, and currently curator of digital discover and engagement in special collections and archives at Colby College.
This year, MOJAS will be on display at The Framemakers at 46 Main St., Waterville, and the exhibit will be available via an online gallery under the MOJAS tab on the website. Zoom reception and awards will be online events scheduled for late Saturday afternoon on March 19.
