The title of the next exhibition at Maine Museum of Photographic Arts, “Constructed and Found,” refers to the process of photographers’ image making.
“They are either constructing images or finding them and sometimes they’re doing a little of both,” says MMPA director Denise Froehlich. “These four photographers are creating some of the most interesting work happening in this state, and their inspirations are fascinating.”
The show runs from July 1 to Aug. 23 at MMPA and features work by John Woodruff, Brendan Bullock, Luc Demers and Damir Porobic.
An opening reception will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. July 7 at 15 Middle St., A3, Portland. A gallery talk is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 5. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and by appointment on Wednesdays. See www.mainemuseumofphotographicarts.org for more information.
