Littlefield Gallery opened its 15th season on March 26.
The exhibition “Roses for Her” features work by husband and wife artists John David and Rachael O’Shaughnessey, who married in the gallery a few years ago. Their new series of works, based on flowers and botanical forms, marks a departure for both of them, as they are best known for their immersion in painting ocean light.
“Our visual voices are so very different, but this show marks a new aesthetic connection for us,” they said.
A reception with the artists will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. May 27.
The featured exhibiting artists include Roy Germon, Sarah Faragher, Don Best, Scott Baltz, Victor Leger, James Groleau, Barbara J. Zucker and Shelley N. Stevens. Hugh Lassen, Mark Herrington and Dan West are among the sculptors whose work graces the gallery grounds as well interior pieces.
Littlefield Gallery is at 145 Main St., Winter Harbor. A complete listing of this year’s exhibitions can be found at www.littlefieldgallery.com/2023-exhibitions.html. Call 207-838-4174, or email [email protected] for more information.
