Two member artists with an interest in environmental education explore Maine’s shore waters in their artwork at the Pemaquid Art Gallery this year.
Marnie Sinclair is known for her exposure of environmental degradation through art. She recently donated her10-foot-long right whale sculpture to the New Bedford Whaling Museum in Massachusetts. She is showing paintings of underwater life, among others, at the gallery.
Sherrie York is an internationally known wildlife artist and educator. Her linocut printmaking was featured on an L.L. Bean catalog cover in Fall 2021 and her works are seen in Colorado and Maine galleries.
