12 X 12 and the 50th Anniversary show at DIAA

The Deer Isle Artists Association Gallery will host two special, one-week shows.

First, the annual 12 X 12 (x 12) show will open on July 25 and run through the July 30. This is the time to purchase art at a very enticing price created by both your favorite, as well as new to the gallery, member artists. All art measures 12 inches by 12 inches (by 12 inches) and sells for $144 (12X12). 

With constantly changing offerings, visit the gallery often or purchase online at www.deerisleartists.com. The online gallery is open 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. during this special exhibit. A reception with the artists will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. July 28.

Coming up next, also for one week, is the 50th Anniversary show and celebration. During this special event, from Aug. 1 to 6, the gallery will feature art by current and past members. Along with their art, stories about past and present members will fill the gallery space. An Anniversary Celebration, featuring cake and champagne, will occur from 3 to 5 p.m. Aug. 4.

Currently showing in the DIAA Gallery is “Keynote,” which runs until July 23.
