On Sept. 9, the annual Lighthouse Day will be held at Lighthouse Park in Bristol, offering visitors a free entrance pass.
Pemaquid Art Gallery will have a welcome tent in front of the gallery with light refreshments. The gallery will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Member artists will be painting plein air.
Four paintings donated by member artists are being shown and will be for sale. Income contributes to the gallery’s outreach efforts to area schools and organizations, to encourage arts education. Also, a daily family free pass to the Portland Museum of Art is available to the public by reservation at Skidompha Library in Damariscotta.
