Can art ever be considered over the top? Come view the offerings and decide for yourself at the latest show, “Over the Top,” at the Deer Isle Artists Association Gallery.
Running from Sept. 5 to 17, the show features work by Marianne Alweis, Ray Dinsmore, Mary Eaton, Jill Finsen, Susan Finsen, June Kellogg, Alice McKenna, Debra Nygaard, Woodley Osborne, Maura Tillotson, Paul Trowbridge and Pat White. The Art Rack will contain work by Susan Finsen, Katama Murray, Roz Sommer, Cynthia Stroud-Watson, Marc Swartzbaugh and Tracy Van Buskirk.
A reception with the artists will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sept. 8.
On display through Sept. 3 is “Small Works,” which features art that can fit in a suitcase. The exhibition following “Over the Top” will be “Northern Direction.”
