The DIAA Gallery will showcase how its members have been influenced by our “Northern Direction” in an exhibition by the same name, running from Sept. 19 to Oct. 1. A reception with the artists will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sept. 22.
Utilizing different mediums, including painting, photography, pottery, fiber and jewelry, artists from around the Peninsula have created works that express their interpretation of this Northerly theme.
Participating in this show are John Attanasio, Steven Brawer, Mary Eaton, Jill Finsen, Susan Finsen, Alan Flowers, Judith Felch, Ronald Harte, Judy Holder, Jayden LaDeau, Leslie Landrigan, David McBeth, Alice McKenna, Katama Murray, David Simonds, Robert Starkey, Marc Swartzbaugh, Peggy de Wolf and Ruth van Doren.
The Art Rack will contain work by Susan Finsen, Katama Murray, Roz Sommer, Cynthia Stroud-Watson, and Tracy Van Buskirk.
On display through Sept. 17 is “Over the Top.” The next show, after “Northern Direction,” will be “Engagement,” which runs from Oct. 3 to 15.
