Join fun and talented Maine artists at the Carlo Pittore Costume Ball and Art Auction from 6 to 11 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Union of Maine Visual Artists Gala at Merrymeeting Hall, 27 Main St., Bowdoinham.
Abby Shahn, Robert Shetterly and David Dewey are just three of the more than 60 artists who have donated work for the silent auction. The band BookHead SweetTooth will supply the music. There will be a potluck plus wine and beer available.
Suggested donations range from $10 to $50 at the door. Sponsors include Rising Tide Brewery, Maine Gallery + Studio Guide and WERU Community Radio.
