Celebrate First Friday at Cynthia Winings Gallery on Aug. 2 at a special event featuring Alissa Davies. “Patterned Origins” will be presented in the Project Space, showcasing Davies’ vibrant and evocative paintings.
A reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 2 with an artist talk at 5:30 p.m.
In the words of Alissa Davies: “Driving on windy, foggy Maine roads conjures memories of past homes, old friends, and cherished places from my childhood.” Her artwork captures the essence of the ocean, childhood memories and Maine’s vibrant colors, exploring the patterns that shape our lives, both internally and in the natural world. Art-making serves as a tool for her to explore, release, and understand these patterns and her evolving self.
Enjoy an evening filled with art and conversation. Refreshments will be served, and everyone is welcome.
