Alexandra Perry-Weiss, of Bristol, enjoys the classic Maine scenery, from woods to cottages and harbors to gardens, painted in oil or acrylic, with saturated colors, evoking “Maine: the way life should be.”
Carol Wiley, of Jefferson, is an experimental artist, using abstraction, especially negative spaces, to bring volume to the flat support and push color relationships in new directions. “As I gain maturity as an artist I find myself feeling freer to use a variety of media to explore color relationships, interesting shapes and linear movement without restriction and to, perhaps, tell my story,” she says.
