Artist Reception: Featured Artists From Northern Journeys Magazine and Artist Talk

Markings Gallery is hosting an artist reception on November 18 from 4-6:00 for past and present, featured artists of Northern Journeys Magazine. Northern Journeys is a magazine of the Arts, Humanities and Sciences distributed in Midcoast Maine. Come and meet some of the exceptional artists you have been
reading about. The evening will be capped off with a talk by Sculptor and jeweler Steve Burns.
We will have a preview of Steve’s new jewelry line. Steve will talk about how he “faked it”in the big city of New York reinventing himself as a high level restorer of major sculpture and finer art objects for NY galleries. He will tell us how he fought his way into the film union so he could barter his welding and model making skills into being able to work on union sf crews for feature films and commercials that you probably have seen.
