Contemporary Symphony by Philippe Guillerm

On Saturday, June 8 from 4 to 7pm Philippe Guillerm Gallery in Waldoboro will host its first show of the season with “Lets Think About Our Planet”, a collection of 2018/ 2019 Sculptures and Paintings made with an eye on recycling materials such as drift wood by French-born artist Philippe Guillerm.

Philippe Guillerm’s work includes sculptures, paintings and a vast array of architectural restoration and decoration details.

He is greatly influenced by his sailing season in the Caribbean Islands where he is always in search of special pieces of drift wood that he will transform, many times onsite, into a wonderful piece of art.

His paintings combine the warm colors of the Caribbeans and depict the urgency of matters we should be caring about. Such as overfishing, oceanic pollution and many more. Philippe also has a great sense of humor and will be sure to make you smile upon seeing his new concept for the “Player Piano”.

This June 8 event will be the first in a series of multiple: Galleries, Art Studios and Businesses openings as part of the ArtWalk Waldoboro 2019.
