See Jean Kigel’s annual ‘Eastern Views’ exhibit, featuring Asian brush, watercolor and oil, from 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 5, 6 and 7 at Jean Kigel Studio + Gallery, 1396 Back Cove Road, Waldoboro.

Kigel writes: “This past year I have been working on a series of seascapes in oil, a series of fish in watercolor and a series of French garden vegetables in Asian brush style. What I love about these subjects is their unpredictable, mutable qualities. I hope these works bring you pleasure and are meaningful to you in some way.”

The show is conjunction with SoWA (South of Waldoboro Artists’) Open Studios Tour (www.sowa2022.org). Take advantage of this rare opportunity to explore the Muscongus region, and discover the talents of artists “South of Waldoboro,” including Ted Arnold, Jeremy Barnard, George Bates, Pam Cabanas, Sam Cady, Katharine Cartwright, Lisa Dombeck, Neil Foley, Sara Hotchkisss, Jean Kigel, Allison Lakin, Debe Loughlin and Brook Pacy.
