Boothbay Region Art Foundation’s “ART in the SQUARE” show is open for viewing. The ever-popular 12-by-12-inch exhibit opened Nov. 19 and features over 50 local artists with more than 150 completed canvases expected to be on display.
This event benefits BRAF’s Student Scholarship Fund and the Annual Student Art Show. Each piece sells for $125, with 60% going to the artists and 40% for the Annual Scholarship Fund given to graduating BRHS seniors who are continuing their education in the field of visual arts.
This long, ongoing event has now become a tradition that coincides with Gardens Aglow and Harbor Lights, extending the season by another month.
Visit the Boothbay Region Art Foundation at 1 Townsend Ave. for an open house from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 3. BRAF winter hours will continue from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday throughout December, weather permitting.
