Durning May, Jean Kigel Studio + Gallery will display a selection of Kigel’s watercolors and brush paintings in the show “Songs of the Sea.”
The gallery is open daily at 1396 Back Cove Road in Waldoboro during business hours. Call ahead is recommended at 207-832-5152.
Outside Kigel’s studio, a variety of waterfowl swim and squawk, providing inspiration for her paintings.
A former Asian brush instructor, Kigel devotes her time to painting. She has had many exhibitions in her career, including one currently at the American Embassy in Amman, Jordan.
