Much like love, glimmers are experienced through the eyes of the beholder. They evoke something — memory, hopefulness, nostalgia, possibility. A glimmer may foreshadow an awakening or serve as a reminder.
This midwinter exhibition, titled “Glimmer,” seeks to provide a respite from the seemingly endless cold and offer glimpses, glimmers of what we anticipate.
“Glimmer” is on view at Sidle House in Freeport from Feb. 22 to March 17. The small group show features artists Hannah Berta, Tara Dixon, Ingrid Ellison, Gabriel Frey and Caroline Sulzer.
Gallery hours are 3 to 6 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays.
