Jean Kigel will host her 24th annual Open Studio show in Waldoboro from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 9, 10 and 11.
Her signature piece, “Undersea Encounter,” was used for this year’s Maine Lobster Festival poster.
Relax as you enjoy Kigel’s recent collection of Asian brush paintings, watercolors and oils, and tour the gardens by the saltwater.
Her florals, landscapes and still-life paintings are mostly representational, but some are stylized by geometric abstraction.
This show is in conjunction with SoWA (sowamaine.org), an open studio tour of 12 south of Waldoboro artists’ studios. To preview the show, click on 24th Annual Eastern Views at jeankigel.wordpress.com.
Jean Kigel Studio + Gallery is at 1396 Back Cove Road in Waldoboro. The gallery is open daily with flexible hours. Call first is recommended at 207-832-5152. For more information or to view paintings, visit www.jeankigel.com.
