Heather Guidero will visit Turtle Gallery with a treasure trove of her impeccable jewelry from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 17 and 18.
The graphic lines, textures and patterns of Guidero’s work are inspired by elements of modernist design, fashion and architecture translated into ethically-sourced gold and silver. Select pieces are accented by brilliant diamonds or colorful gemstones. Innately wearable, Guidero’s collection boldly accentuates your personal style, while her considerations of natural movement enables the jewelry to come alive when worn.
“Painters of Maine” is also on view, through Sept. 1 at Turtle Gallery, followed by “Textiles & Textures” from Sept. 5 to Oct. 6, featuring work by Morris Dorenfeld, Eben Blakey, Lynn Duryea, Wayne Hall, Paul Heroux, Barbara Putnam, Sharon Townshend and many others.
Turtle Gallery resides in an 1876 two-story barn and outdoor sculpture garden located at 61 N. Deer Isle Road in Deer Isle. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday from May 30 to Oct. 7. For more information, visit turtlegallery.com, or call 207-348-9977.
