On view at Jean Kigel Studio + Gallery, are paintings in her Attic Window Series.
It’s summer for a bit longer — not quite time to store lawn chairs or photo albums in the attic. The sheep are still in the meadow. However school will open, and the sheep will soon shelter in sheds. In this painting, the clouds and the hedges take on the form of wooly sheep, and village houses snuggle closer together.
Other paintings in this Attic Windows series, emit the undulant sound of blues, the salty scents of clams, and the shrill whistle of steam engines.
