“Combined: Spindleworks & MhA Artists Group Show” is on view from March 28 to April 26 at Meetinghouse Arts Gallery in Freeport. The show features work by 20 Spindleworks artists and 20 Meetinghouse Arts gallery member artists.

The work will include paintings, pastel, photography, collage, glass work, ceramics, encaustic, fiber arts and sculpture.

Show hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday noon to 4 p.m. A reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. April 4, featuring refreshments and open mic on the stage.

Spindleworks is a nonprofit art studio for adults with disabilities. Artists in the Spindleworks program come from surrounding communities including Bath, Topsham, Bowdoinham, Portland, Westbrook, Auburn, Lisbon Falls, Richmond and Freeport. Over 40 artists work in a variety of visual art mediums. In addition, the artists write poetry and stories, and express themselves through acting and other performing arts. Their work has been exhibited widely, and they are well known and respected members of Maine’s artistic community.
