Annex Arts is honored to welcome Marwa Abdul-Rahman and Robert Dewhurst as its newest Artists-in-Residence. Marwa (painting and sculpture) and Robert (essay, biography, poetry) come to Annex Arts from Los Angeles for a full-summer residency.
Their home was lost during January’s devastating Eaton Fire in Altadena, California. As a result, Annex Arts is humbled to host them so they can enjoy time to create and connect as a fine artist and author.
They held a meet and greet on July 11.
Additional meet and greets with Dewhurst will be held Friday nights and by chance. Events may be connected to his current work-in-progress, a literary biography of poet John Weiner.
Abdul-Rahman will hold an open studio from 5 to 7 p.m. July 18.
