The Maine Media Photographers Association announces its move to 387 Commercial Street, Suite E, Portland, and launches a capital campaign to ensure sustainability in the expanded space.
“… And he huffed and he puffed but he couldn’t blow this house down,” notes director Denise Froehlich, acknowledging the organization’s ambitious goal to serve members with the same great exhibitions, events and artist support provided over the past 15 years.
Two galleries in the new space mean more flat files, books and better visibility, ultimately creating larger opportunities for artists, education, outreach and collaborations. Art and book sales continue online or by appointment with free U.S. shipping. The organization continues submissions, portfolio reviews and curation during the transition.
