Work by Sam Shaw.

Shaw Jewelry in Northeast Harbor presents new work by Hughes-Bosca, Sam Shaw, Fisher & Fine and Michael Kahn through Aug. 12. An opening reception was held July 30.

In “Bold and Gold Jewelry,” Hughes-Bosca collaborators Caro-Gray Bosca and Mary Hughes embrace boldness, invention and an uninhibited approach to design. Their high-karat gold jewelry combines gemstones with materials and forms inspired by sources from around the world.

Sam Shaw’s “The Conversation Continues: Abstracted Nudes” explores the human form through curious narratives involving two figures. Shaw paints on the reverse side of glass in luminous, translucent layers, creating couples who appear to float, dance and interact.

“Fabulous Estate Jewelry” features Kate Fisher’s collection of signed pieces by Cartier, Tiffany & Co., David Webb, Bulgari and Van Cleef & Arpels, alongside unsigned jewelry from the Edwardian through Retro eras. The presentation includes cameos, tennis bracelets, brooches, rings and necklaces.

In “Coastal Images in Black and White,” photographer Michael Kahn presents serene images of the coast and its vessels, emphasizing the ocean’s visual simplicity.
