“Art For Right Now — Small Works Show: 2 Sizes 2 Prices” runs through Dec. 20 at Gallery B.
The show includes 83 artists from the greater Blue Hill peninsula and across North America, including many of this region’s working artists. Works are limited to two specific sizes and set at two different prices.
“This event has come to mean so much to so many people. Our customers and the community love being able to collect work from artists whose work might normally be a bit out of reach,” says gallery owner and artist Goody-B Wiseman. “I love that this little online event that we cooked up during the initial shut-downs from COVID-19 now has a devoted cult following that grows with every year. It’s exciting and beautiful. You never know which artist will pop up in the show, and you can’t imagine the breadth of incredible works that will show up throughout the month. It’s a feast for the eyes, a joy to behold, a gift to the community, and a big help to the artists.”
New works are installed at the gallery and posted online each week.
The show offers two sizes of paintings for two prices: All 5×7 works are $200 and all 8×10 works are $325. As is tradition, the 10×8 group will hold a flash sale on Dec. 9 online and in person. Artwork can be shipped to anywhere in the U.S.
The proceeds go toward funding a program that brings artists to the peninsula during the summer, paying for studio and living space and creating opportunities for the public to engage with the artists through open studios, workshops and other events.
