The Turtle Gallery Welcomes New Featured Artists

The Turtle Gallery in Deer Isle opens with a new month long showing on August 4th. Please join us to meet the artists at an opening reception.  Featured Painters Janis Goodman and Adele Ursone will show oils. Barbara Putnam offers large and small scale woodcuts. This exhibit runs through Friday, Aug. 31.

Also on view at this time in a Group Show of New Works are gallery artists: Mary Barnes, Siri Beckman, Lynn Duryea, Rebecca Goodale, Jaap Helder, Paul Heroux, Lisa Houck, Chris Joyce, Peter Kemble, Vaino Kola, Larry Moffet, Karl Schrag, Sandy Wadlington, Michael Weymouth and others. 

In the sculpture garden are works by Susan Chase, David Curry, Hugh Lassen, Nancy Nevergole,  Roy Patterson, Patrick Pierce, Cynthia Stroud, David Sywalski, Sharon Townshend, Andreas Von Huene, and James Wolfe. 

Ongoing collections of jewelry, craft and limited edition prints can always be seen. A collection of ceramic works by Sequoia Miller and Jack Hemenway are on display all season.

Regular hours are Tuesday through Sunday, noon to 5:30 p.m.
