Women Eco Artists Dialog, based in Berkeley, California, is accepting submissions for “Prototyping Futures of Making: Water, Data, and Living Systems,” an exhibition exploring connections among ecological systems, technology and art.

The exhibition will appear online and at The 109 Gallery in Chickamauga, Georgia, from May 1 to Aug. 31, 2027. The application deadline is Jan. 31, 2027.

The call invites artists to consider the environmental demands of artificial intelligence and data infrastructure, including their use of water and land, alongside the intelligence and relationships found in rivers, soil, forests and biological networks. The exhibition asks how artists might work with living systems through growth, collaboration and experimentation rather than treating nature only as raw material.

Jurors Lisa B. Woods and Leah Dalton will consider submissions in all media, including sound and video. Women-identified, nonbinary and trans-identified artists are eligible to join WEAD and apply. Membership scholarships are available.

Founded in 1996, WEAD supports ecological and social justice art through exhibitions, publications, workshops and artist programs.
