For the past few years, DIAA has challenged member artists to make 2-D artwork exactly 12×12 (including frame) or 3-D work that does not exceed 12″ in any direction. Each work of art was priced at $144.
In 2015, 62 DIAA artists responded by submitting 192 works of art in these formats and launched two weeks of constantly changing views in the Gallery and a stimulating experience for our visitors and artists as well.
Last year, the Gallery doors opened promptly at 10:00 am to an eager crowd. The ensuing two weeks were busy busy busy as this was a “pay and take” event – pieces were immediately taken off the wall as purchased, and replaced with new work so the exhibit changed every day. Here are a few shots of the “night before” opening day installation. This show kept our artist hanging crew very busy.
And we are doing it again this summer. The show will open on Friday July 29 and run through August 11. Come early, come often.
