The Whitney Galleries welcomes Douglas Taylor for his first one-person show and the third in our series for the 2016 season.

Please note that parking is now restricted to our own lot, the Forest Village Condominium clubhouse parking lot, the field behind the gallery, and the Cattails Parking lot next door to the gallery.  We hope to have the field clearly marked so that entering and exiting will be done with the least possible inconvenience.  Thanks in advance for your cooperation in this matter.

Doug’s new work, entitled “New England Revisited: My Inspiration Over the Years” brings us to the scenes we all remember when we were young and appreciated for their quiet beauty.  As many of you know, Doug has been living and working in Southern Maine for many years and his flare for color and composition is quite unique in the impressionist world.  His attention to the essence of what he paints is extraordinary.   We are very excited to bring this show to you.

Since the gallery has a brand new look and feel, artists’ work really stands out and enhances the viewer’s experience.   So far, we have received overwhelming positive feedback and will continue to highlight our artists in the best possible environment.

You won’t want to miss this exciting take on how New England’s scenery has had an impact on a very special talent.

The show will run Wednesdays 1pm – 5pm and Thursdays – Sundays noon – 6pm from August 4 – August 21.
