Located in The Rock & Art Shop, the show runs from April 4th to June 4th. A reception and artist talk will be held on May 12th from 5 to 7pm.
John LeBlanc’s relief works are created with thick impasto acrylic paint and many layers of cardboard adhered together.  John likens his artwork approach to that of a jazz musician. Each mark becomes a note which helps to determine the following mark. Within the loose framework of his subject matter, John elaborates his marks into endless variations of pattern and color. The depth that LeBlanc is able to achieve with his relief works is truly worth seeing in person.
A reception and artist talk will be held on May 12th from 5 to 7pm. The reception will be combined with the Bangor Symphony Orchestra’s Sweets, Shopping, and Bubble fundraising event at The Rock & Art Shop. Three members of the Orchestra will be on hand to play live music in the gallery. Sweets from Specialty Sweets and champagne will be provided. A portion of all sales made from this event will be donated back to the Bangor Symphony Orchestra.
