Richard Litz, Colleen Keaney-Graffam and Sherri Dunbar enjoy the opening night.

The Old Academy on Warren Street in Wiscasset was bursting with good cheer and lively chatter Saturday evening at the opening of the Maine Art Gallery’s show of work by 15 of its members. The show, beautifully curated by Colleen Keaney-Graffam and Jorge Pena, was filled with highly accessible  paintings, drawings, and wearable art.

“All the art in this show is very positive, which is so comforting in turbulent times,” commented one visitor. Indeed, the attendees were attracted to the work, and sales were brisk. With good weather and the approach of summer, the guests were happy to celebrate the efforts of these talented artists. Music by Terry Heller contributed to the convivial atmosphere.
