Sarah Faragher, “rising tide, ice floes, january, the marsh, frankfort, maine.”

Here on the coast of Maine, the cold weather is upon us and we’ve had the first dusting of snow.

The Parsonage will host a reception for its Winter Holiday Exhibition at 2 p.m. Dec. 3, with warm drinks and seasonal treats.

Artworks will be available for purchase at a variety of price points, for emerging as well as established collectors. Proceeds go to artists and to fund future exhibitions.

If you missed the gallery’s autumn opening, the winter reception is also a great chance to catch “Sea Watch,” by Michael Takeo Magruder, a powerful immersive exhibition exploring the refugee crisis on the southern coast of Europe.

The Parsonage exhibits dynamic work by a diverse slate of contemporary artists, with a special emphasis on issues of ecology and spirituality.

The Parsonage is located at 8 Elm St., Searsport. To make a donation, for a list of available works, or to arrange video tours for collectors, email [email protected].
