LA Arts will present Art Walk LA from 5 to 8 p.m. June 30. The public is invited to enjoy this free family-friendly event.
Art Walk LA turns Lewiston’s downtown into a bustling arts district, converting outdoor plazas, sidewalks and more than 30 businesses and storefronts into lively art galleries and performance spaces. This early evening event showcases the talent of artisans and musicians and brings people of all ages together for some summer fun. Visitors are encouraged to stop by any of downtown Lewiston’s amazing restaurants for a bite to eat and enjoy an evening stroll filled with arts experiences, music, kids’ activities and special surprises. An Art Walk LA map of participating venues is available at www.laarts.org/artwalk.
The June Art Walk LA will be anchored by an opening reception of new and recent works by Boston-based artist Michele Lauriat from 5 to 7 p.m. at the LA Arts Gallery. With a close, personal connection to the Maine landscape, the exhibition will feature works inspired by the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge in Wells.
