“Point of View” by Avery Falkner.

The central theme of the next show at the Deer Isle Artists Association is “Keynote,” and artists from around the Peninsula have created art that reverberates with the mesmerizing tone of this theme.

The show runs from July 11 to 23, with a reception with the artists from 3 to 5 p.m. July 14. 

Artists with work in this show are Marianne Alweis, Leslie Anderson, Don Bardole, Sarah Baskin, Betsy Braunhut, Ray Dinsmore, Adell Donaghue, Mary Eaton, Avery Falkner, Jeri Gillin, Jean Gresham, Judy Holder, Emily Johansen, Al Michalovic, Thomas Moore, Woodley Osborne, Nicoletta Siccone, Maura Tillotson and Ruth van Doren. In the Art Rack is work by Jackie Davidson, Ellen Moore, Nicoletta Siccone, Cynthia Stroud-Watson and Maura Tillotson.

Currently in the DIAA Gallery is “Portraits,” which runs until July 9. Two special one-week shows will follow “Keynote.” The always eagerly awaited “12 x 12” show runs from July 25 to 30, while the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Deer Isle Artists Association will run from Aug. 1 to 6.
