While “A Love Affair” can be brief or it may endure, the show by that name at the Deer Isle Artists Association will only last from Aug. 8 to 20. 

Visitors are invited to partake in a love affair with art as it is displayed in the DIAA Gallery. 

An opening reception will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Aug. 11.

Work by several artists will appear in the show, including Leslie Anderson, John Attanasio, Sarah Baskin, Don Bardole, Rachel Gordon Bernstein, Ray Dinsmore, Judith Felch, Susan Finsen, Jeri Gillin, Jean Gresham, Cathy Hart, Emily Johansen, Al Michalovic, Ellen Moore, Katama Murray, Teri Rippeto, Jeanne Rotunda, Nicoletta Siccone, Walter Smalling, Cynthia Stroud-Watson and Oscar Turner.

On exhibit through Aug. 6 is the DIAA 50th Anniversary Show. Following “A Love Affair” will be “Small Works,” from Aug. 22 to Sept. 3.
