Work by Krisanne Baker.

Artists Krisanne Baker and Chris Augusta explore the wondrous depths of our seas on canvas.

Baker is an ocean advocacy artist residing alongside of the Medomak River In Waldoboro. Baker considers her dynamic works on canvas to be a voice for an ocean under siege.

Work by Chris Augusta.

Augusta, a biologist, naturalist and fine artist, translates his close observations of the natural world into intensely beautiful works.

Join these accomplished artists at the opening reception of “Wondrous Depths” from 4 to 8 p.m. Aug. 19 at Salt Pond Studio. Receptions at the gallery are always lively and a slice of “old Maine.”

The exhibition will be on view to the public from noon to 5 p.m. Aug. 17 though the extended Labor Day weekend.

Salt Pond Studio is at 522 Cushing Road, Friendship. Call 207-691-5787 or go to www.saltpondstudio.com for more information.
