“Stepback” by Jeannette Steele-Esposito.

Where has the time gone? Mars Hall Gallery is celebrating 20 summer seasons by inviting artists to participate in its anniversary show, “TWENTY.” Works from over 20 artists in all mediums have been submitted that are all 20×20 inches, with the only additional request being that they have fun creating them.

Mars Hall Gallery appreciates the artists whose work has been the backbone of the gallery, both now and those who have passed, including Leo Brooks, Bill Cook, Charles DuBack, Kris Johnson, Nat Lewis, Ken Martin, Donn Moulton, Elaine Niemi, Cam Noel, Manuel Rincon, Marylin Quint-Rose, Russell Smith, Carl Sublett, William Thon and Ron Weaver.

They also extend a thank-you to patrons past and present who’ve supported the arts for the past 20 summers.

“Twenty” opens Aug. 16 and runs through Oct. 9, with an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 18.

A group show in the main gallery features works in watercolor by Leo Brooks, Nat Lewis, Cam Noel, Elaine Reed, Carl Sublett and Eleanor Zuccola and oils and acrylics by Jeannette Steele-Esposito, Kris Johnson, Sharon Larkin, Maurice Michel Lode, Jimmy Reed, Manuel Rincon, Russell Smith, Carl Sublett and Ron Weaver. Also on display is outsider art by Ian Baird, Elaine Niemi and Rudy Rotter and mixed-media collage by Eleanor Zuccola. A reception for both shows will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 18, and the shows will run through Oct. 9.

The “Tower of Peace” show continues, featuring oil and watercolor paintings by renowned Ukrainian artist Georgiy Zaychenko, along with Mars Hall artists. Proceeds of sales go to the artists’ choice of Ukranian charities.

The gallery offers a large variety of 3D art by Ian Baird, Bill Cook, Bill Nichols, Elaine Niemi and Rudy Rotter, quality crafts including decoupage by Davene Fahy, and stained glass, pottery and mosaics by Dona Bergen. The Recycled Zoo by Brian Read is showcased outside in the gardens. Also available is a large collection of antiques, silver and vintage jewelry, original 1960s and ’70s rock posters and new and used books.
