Pamela Elias, “Twilight.”

“Just in View” opened Aug. 27 at Cynthia Winings Gallery, featuring work by Jenny Brillhart, Nina Jerome, Megan Magill and Carol Pelletier.

An opening reception was held on Aug. 27.

Also on view will be artworks from Louise Bourne, Josephine Burr, Anna Dibble, Juliet Karelsen, Christine Lafuente, Buzz Masters, Robin Reynolds, Jerry Rose, Lari Washburn and Patricia Wheeler, as well as sculpture in the garden by Melita Westerlund, John Wilkinson and LUNAFORM.

The gallery is also presenting artist Pamela Elias in the Project Space. Elias’ creative process is an intricate interplay of colors, shapes and textures. Beginning with a chosen hue, Elias builds captivating relationships between various elements like shape, value and texture, resulting in artworks that evolve into immersive spaces of exploration.

Elias’ artistic endeavors encompass two distinct yet interconnected bodies of work. On paper, she delicately layers and etches Caran d’Ache Neocolor wax pastels, while her 12×12 acrylic paintings come to life through layers of opaque and transparent paints, applied with diverse tools and techniques. Pamela’s artistic dialogue culminates in the final decisive vertical cut, signaling the resolution of each piece.
