“Photographer’s Eye,” by Curtis Wells

Curtis (1939-2023) was a narrative photo journalist who delighted in the surprising moments of human interactions with others, with nature and with their inner selves. He captured them, primarily in black-and-white film starting in his teens and continuing until days before his death. His keenly observed  photographs, sometimes poignant and sometimes humorous, always found joy in the complexity of human experience.

An opening reception was held Aug. 29. The show will remain on view through Sept. 18.

Rockefeller’s love of jewelry began, like so many of us, from rummaging around in her grandmother’s jewelry box. The sense of beauty and adornment tantalized her, manifesting in this new collection. All pieces are named after family members, all pieces are personal to Rockefeller. Her love of classic beauty and lustrous gemstones shine gloriously.
