According to the artist: “My work at the Sohns Gallery, Bangor, THE QUEEN AND HER COURT, explores human relationships where food plays a central role, as love, celebration, sustenance and connection. In this work representations of the female figure in settings and on stages I create for them, are surrounded by their own private universes. Those settings frequently take the form of a complex planetary arrangement of fanciful ephemera orbiting the background, visually suggesting an extension of the central figures’ intricate, emotional worlds.”
