October is almost here and so are the cooler temperatures.
Many people come to Maine to avoid the heat, but this summer those hot humid days came early and stayed late. Finally we are in that sweet spot.
Midcoast Maine provides what we think of as the perfect New England fall — brilliant foliage, cooler temperatures, pumpkins, apple cider and many festivities including art walks.
Stop by Art Space Gallery on Oct. 4 for the First Friday Art Walk from 5 to 8 p.m. Art Space will be featuring the art of watercolorist John Wood, multimedia artist Ann Rhinehardt and pastelist Mary Beth Morrison.
Art Space hours in October are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Art Space Gallery, a fine art cooperative owned and operated by Maine artists, is located at 405 Main St., Rockland. See artspacemaine.com for details.
