The Maine Museum of Photographic Arts will host an opening reception for the show “Trace” from 5 to 8 p.m. April 4.

“Trace” is a powerful spring photographic exhibition exploring the vestiges of former existence, influence and action, featuring work by 10 distinguished artists.

The show will remain on view through May 31.

Featured artists include Joseph Podlesnik, June Kim, Sarah Hood Salomon, Drew Harty, Joan Fitzsimmons, Sara Stites, Jon Pelletier, Caroline Savage, Jodi Colella and Frank Lopez.

Artist talks will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. April 25 and May 16.
